Damson Wood Nursery & Infant School
Woodies Childcare can be found within the grounds of Damson Wood Nursery & Infant School and is joined with Balsall Common Primary School as part of a multi-academy called the Central Schools Trust.
Woodies is a time for fun and enjoyment in a safe, caring and homely environment. We have access to all the school play equipment, hall, libray, playground and paddock area.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which promotes learning through play.
We offer full or part-time day care for children aged 2 years and over.
We are open from 7.45am - 6.00pm.
Caterpillars & Butterflies - Full Day Care sessions are available for children from the age of 2 - 3 years.
We offer a variety of options for paying parents from just one or two sessions a week to full time, which are competitively priced.
We are also registered to provide early education funding once your child turns two - please see www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to check if you are eligible.
Conkers Before School Club is open daily in term time from 7.45am. We provide a healthy breakfast which is included in the price and served until 8.30am. Woodies staff will safely escort Nursery, reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children to school.
Conkers After School Club starts at 3.15pm until 6.00pm daily in term time and offers parent's flexible collection times. Woodies staff will safely escort Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children from school back to Woodies.
We provide a healthy snack after school for all the children and those staying until 6.00pm are provided with a light tea which is included in the price.
Parents of children who attend Conkers Before and After School Club may be eligible to use some of their 30 hours free childcare entitlement or tax-free childcare.
Explorers Holiday Club is open for some of the school holidays for Damson Wood children aged 3 - 11 years (dates and times will be reviewed on an annual basis) we offer a thematic programme that ensures a variety of fun and exciting activities with sessions that are varied and flexible. parents may be eligible to use the tax-free childcare entitlement.
We are closed for Bank holidays and for the 2 weeks Christmas holiday period.
We also close for staff training - dates TBC
