  • Damson Wood Nursery and Infant School ‘Slips into Slippers’ for Older People’s Day

    Mon 04 Nov 2019

Staff and children at Damson Wood Nursery & Infant School recently took part in Age UK Solihull's Slip into Slippers Day for UK Older People's Day.

Mrs Hume, Headteacher said, “Children across the school really enjoyed wearing their slippers to raise money; it is a fun way to raise awareness for a local charity. They enjoyed learning about the work of Age UK Solihull and are happy to be helping older people in our community for the fourth year running.’

The Damson Wood school community raised an incredible £121.50 this year and were delighted to share this money with Rebecca Jacob, a representative from Age UK Solihull, who awarded the children with a special certificate to celebrate their fundraiisng.
